#margaritamoments.
Now that it’s officially May and summer is (hopefully) right around the corner, I’ve got a few things on my mind. Rooftops. Sandals. Fireworks over Lake Michigan. Lounging poolside. Happy hours that turn into late nights. And of course, margaritas.

I’m not quite sure when my love affair with the margarita began, but the two of us have been going strong for awhile now. We’ve grown and matured a bit together – from the frozen days to the classic with rocks and salt to even dabbling in new flavors and a bit of spice. It’s my go to cocktail once the weather warms up and the nights tend to get a little longer and I’m not sure there’s anything better than gathering a bunch of friends around a whole lotta chips & guac and some margaritas.
I’ve found that #margaritamoments take many shapes and forms. Sometimes they tend to be the nights where the funniest stories come out and everyone ends up laughing until there are tears in their eyes. They’re when you get the brilliant idea to introduce a friend to that cute guy at the bar, or when somehow everyone ends up wearing a sombrero. There are also those times when after a long day, there’s absolutely nothing better than that first sip of a margarita. It’s your little reward for making it through and acts as a sign that it’s finally time to unwind. You’ve made it.
Lately in my never ending quest to find balance between the chaos of working in advertising, this little blog of mine, working out, being in a relationship and generally enjoying life, my #margaritamoments have been quieter than usual. They’ve been that end of day treat that marks the transition from “office Cait” to “blogger Cait” – that little boost to power me through and keep me sane. Sometimes, blogging is just a little more fun when there’s a margarita and a rooftop involved… am I right?
The Sauza-rita is perfect for those nights when you’re unwinding or when you’re mixing cocktails for all of your friends – it’s easy to whip up and doesn’t require tons of prep or juicing (is it just me or is juicing citrus kind of the worst ever? SO MUCH WORK for a rather unimpressive amount of juice). The details for creating your own #margaritamoments:
Ingredients: (serves 9)
- 1 can Sauza Blue Silver 100% Agave Tequila
- 1 bottle light beer
- 1 can frozen limeade
- 1 can water
Instructions:
Pour limeade and beer into a pitcher with ice. Fill limeade can with Sauza® Blue Silver and pour into pitcher. Finally, add a can of water, stir and enjoy.
